About The Course

In June of 2018, we welcomed 2010 disc golf world champion, Eric McCabe, to design a PDGA Championship course in the untouched forest at Meier Lake. Two years of unearthing later, in 2020 we debuted The Reserve at Meier Lake in the 49th State, the only A tier disc golf course in Alaska. We asked Eric to design a course that would be known as a show stopper, one that drew players from all over the world. The Reserve boasts 18 holes with 36 baskets and 36 tee pads for both a long and short game paired with challenging terrain across elevation changes, water features, and deep fairways. A 3.5-mile loop as you wind your way around the water and through the dense Alaskan wilderness.

In just over 14 years, Eric has designed more than 63 courses in 26 states, some of which have been utilized in the PDGA Amateur and Professional World Championships. His courses are prominently featured in the world’s largest disc golf tournament, the week-long Dynamic Discs Open tournament in Emporia, Kansas.

Hours of Operation

The Reserve at Meier Lake is open daily in the summertime (mid-June through September) from 11 AM to 6 PM, with the exception of days when Meier Lake is booked for private events. Please check our Facebook page for updates on course closure days. The cost is $12 per round, we ask that you please check-in at the lodge before beginning your round.
